Quick field procedure for qualified HVAC technicians — measurement, installation, and verification.
Confirm System Condition Before Installation
AC Flush should only be installed on systems operating in accordance with manufacturer specifications, with no outstanding required repairs, and in proper working order.
Do not use AC Flush to mask unresolved mechanical, electrical, refrigerant, airflow, or maintenance issues.
Before You Install
- System operating correctly
- No required repairs outstanding
- Airflow acceptable
- Thermostat operating correctly
- System running at full load
- AMP draw can be checked
If the system is not operating correctly, do not proceed.
Quick Installation & Verification Steps

Step 1 — Force Full Load Operation
- Cooling: set thermostat to the lowest setting
- Heating: set thermostat to the highest setting
- Run system for 5–10 minutes
- Confirm full-load operation using AMP draw
- 2
Step 2 — Take Pre-Install Reading
- Use the register closest to the air handler
- Record supply air temperature
- Record AMP draw
- Use the same register for the post-install reading

Step 3 — Install AC Flush
- Use correct approved dosage
- Follow approved injection method
- Keep system running during installation
- Maintain suction line access
- 4
Step 4 — Allow Circulation
- Allow 5–10 minutes for circulation
- Confirm system remains at full load
- Confirm AMP draw is similar to the pre-install reading

Step 5 — Take Post-Install Reading
- Use the same register
- Monitor for 5–15 minutes
- Expected improvement: 1°–4°F
- Record supply air temperature and AMP draw
- 6
Step 6 — Restore System Settings
- Return thermostat to original setting
- Confirm normal system operation
- Complete customer paperwork / service notes
Important Note for Inverter Systems
Inverter systems may ramp down quickly once AC Flush improves coil efficiency.
If this occurs before a post-install reading is captured, document the observation. Equal or improved delivered air temperature at reduced capacity may indicate improved coil efficiency and reduced compressor workload.
